Craig R. Hedgecock of Gainesville, Florida passed away suddenly on April 24th, 2022 at the age of 72 from complications related to Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). He was born May 14th, 1949 in Hamilton, Ohio, the son of William and Marian (Dolly) Hedgecock. He graduated from Hamilton High School in 1967 and went on to University of Cincinnati to complete both his Bachelors and Masters degrees. He worked as a Civil Engineer in the Gainesville and surrounding communities; he was a devoted professor at the University of Florida for many years as well and was both well respected and loved. He was a member of the Kentucky Colonels and Triangle Fraternity. He is survived by his long term partner, Susan Murray; son, Ethan (Abby) Hedgecock; daughter, Meridith (Asaf Hirshberg) Hedgecock; step daughter, Morgan (Paul) Harrington and grandchildren, Reece, Pierce, Mila & Ansley.
