Cynthia Lynn McCoy, 81, of Pageland, SC, passed away Friday, April 7th, 2023, at Palmetto Oak Assisted Living in Pageland, SC. Born January 8, 1942, in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Calvin and Velma Vickery McCoy. A 1964 graduate of Winthrop College, she later earned a Master's Degree in Special Education at the University of Denver. She taught in Durham, NC from 1964-68 and Cherry Creek Schools in metro Denver before moving to South Carolina in the late 1980's. She is survived by her daughter, Julie Gravely McAllister of Fulshear, TX; a sister, Sandy McCoy of Anderson; and former spouse, Will Gravely. A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, June 16, 2023, at 11:00 am at The McDougald Funeral Home Chapel, Anderson, SC with Revs. James Ellis Griffeth and Mike Vandiver presiding. The service will be available via live stream on The McDougald Funeral Home website.
