For three consecutive years, Dakota has attended Tri-County Technical College where he has maintained a 3.5 GPA. He was a recipient of the Lifetime Scholarship twice and has been on the Dean's List numerous times. He was a member of the Belton Second Baptist Church.Survivors include his parents, Freddy & Betty Bratcher Mitchell, of the home; brothers: Dusty Mitchell, Brandon Fields, and Chris Fields; grandparents: Lamar & Sara Crawford Mitchell, all of Belton, SC; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. He was predeceased by grandparents: Joyce Burns & Hulon Bratcher.The Funeral Service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, August 10, 2011, in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home conducted by Dr. Ron Culbertson, the Reverend Ricky Rice, and the Reverend Richard Busha.
