Dale Ansell Keeney, Sr., 70, of Anderson, SC, passed away Monday, October 14, 2019 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born December 28, 1948 in LaGrande, OR, he was the son of the late Hobart Keeney and Gladys Ansell Keeney. He was also predeceased by his first wife, Lilly Keeney. Dale was a veteran of the United States Army having served in Korea during the Vietnam War. He was a disc jockey for several radio stations and also worked at Carolina Auto Auction. He loved gardening and was a member of Neals Creek Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Karen Johnson Keeney; son, Dale Ansell Keeney, Jr. (Erin); step- daughter, Dee Sullivan; grandsons, Jonathan Keeney and Jeremy Keeney; sister, Barbara Keeney of Oregon; step grandson, Chance Edwards. A graveside service with military honors will be held Friday, October 18, 2019 at 1:00pm at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery with Rev. Jason Dorriety officiating. The family will be at the residence.
