Alvin Dale Ledbetter, age 60, of Starr, SC, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at Oconee Memorial Hospital. Born December 22, 1960 in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late Alvin Morris Ledbetter and Susie Nell Collier Ledbetter. Dale was employed with Owens Corning for most of his life and was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. To his wife and daughters, he was the most wonderful man in the world and the glue of his family. Dale took his position as father very seriously and thought it important to teach his daughters the basics of life. He was a loving husband, father and the best Papa. Left to cherish his memory are his best friend and wife of 37 years, having married on August 26, 1983, Cindy Davis Ledbetter; daughters, Jennifer Ledbetter and Heather Simpson; and four grandchildren, Daniel Graham, Madison Graham, Levi Simpson, and Colton Simpson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant son, Alvin Dale Ledbetter, Jr. The funeral service will be held Sunday, March 14, 2021 at 4:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Rev.
