Dana Eugene Kincaid Anderson, SC Dana Eugene Kincaid, age 89, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2014, at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Springfield, OH, on July 1, 1924, he was the son of the late Elmer Eugene Kincaid and the late Eileen Smith Kincaid. He proudly served his country in the United State Navy as a Navy Airman flying B-24's between 1942 and 1945. He was a recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross Award. His career was spent as a school teacher and Administrator in Ohio after earning his Master's in Education from Bowling Green University. Most recently, Dana was featured in a book by the Anderson Museum entitled "A Necessary War". Dana played the saxophone and was a member of Upstate Seniors and Shriners Bands. He is survived by his children, Ronald E. Kincaid and his wife Kathleen, of Anderson, SC and Nancy L. Martin and her husband Eldon "Kenny", of Moscow, TN; three grandchildren, Aaron E. Kincaid, of Anderson, Patrick Robinson, of Collierville, TN, and April Melton, of Moscow, TN; and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Lou Bobst and his second wife, Mary R. Thorpe Kincaid; a grandson, Michael Robinson; and a brother, Roger Kincaid. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 3:30 p.m. The family will receive friends on Saturday, prior to the service at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until 3:15 p.m. Interment will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Rock Creek Cemetery in Rock Creek, OH.
