Daniel Dean Carlton, age 80, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2015, at Emeritus at Anderson Place. Born in Anderson, SC, on November 1, 1934, he was the son of the late Thomas Wheeler Carlton and the late Maude Burden Carlton. He was a 1953 graduate of Anderson Boys High School and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Dan was a product development technician for Owens Corning Fiberglas for 38 years. He was a member of John Wesley United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Caroline Huntsinger Carlton; a son, James Bradley Carlton, his wife Kay H, and their children, Jedidiah S. Carlton and Natalia V.C. Carlton; and one brother, Connie M. Carlton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Arnold T. Carlton, Sidney P. Carlton, William J. Carlton, and Calvin C. Carlton; and four sisters, Edna C. Powell, Mable C. Moorhead, Robbie C. "Bob" Pettigrew, and Glenna Jean Carlton. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at11 a.m. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
