Daniel Wendell Davis, age 69, of Anderson, SC, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2022, at his home. Born February 25, 1953, in Anderson, he was a son of the late Wendell Oliver Davis and Pearl Rogers Davis. Daniel was retired from BASF with over 40 years of faithful service to the company. He was an avid fisherman and hunter both of which he enjoyed doing with his wife Susan. He also enjoyed camping and taking care of his pets. Daniel loved talking with his family and friends and was known for his unique sense of humor. He was loved by everyone who knew him and will be dearly missed. He is survived by his wife, Susan Davis; brother, David Oliver Davis (Linda) of Jesup, GA; sister, Bette Anne Pilgrim (CW) of Pickens, SC; sister-in-law, Anne Watkins (Delmas) of Lexington, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two siblings, Gloria and Marie Davis who both died at birth. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 7, 2022, at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Rev. Dwight Greene officiating.
