Daniel Joe Langston, 70, husband of Sylvia Nelson Langston, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2018 at NHC Healthcare of Clinton. Born in Liberty, SC, on August 8, 1947, Daniel was the son of the late David F. Langston and Bobbie Dalton Gillespie Langston. After graduating from Pendleton High School, he worked and retired as a commercial truck driver transporting food and groceries for Bi-Lo and C&S. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Liberty. In addition to his wife Sylvia, Daniel is survived by his sons, Danny Langston (Tina) of Liberty, and Jimbo Langston (Donya) of Clinton; brother, Alton Langston (Sharon) of Liberty; sister, Rose Black (Ken) of Easley; and five grandchildren, Caylyn, Ashton, Brittany, Brooke and Dalton. In addition to his parents, Daniel was preceded in death by a brother, Don Langston. The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Thursday, February 1, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Friday, February 2, at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend J.D. Shiflet and Alton Langston officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Baptist Church of Liberty Cemetery on Hwy. 178.
