Daniel Elmer Walgate, age 47, passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at his residence. Born in Buffalo, NY, on May 26, 1971, he was the son of Daniel and Barbara Miner Walgate. Daniel was a graduate of Clarence High School and Clemson University class of 1994. He was an educator for Westside High School for 18 years. Daniel also worked at the Charter School for Anderson School District 5 for 6 years. He enjoyed coaching the baseball, soccer, and swimming. He was a fan of Clemson, the Buffalo Bills, and The Grateful Dead. In addition to his parents, he is survived by Nicole Holland Walgate; and two daughters, Alexandria and Samantha Walgate. He was preceded in death by his sister, Joanna Walgate. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at 3:30 pm in the chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Miles officiating.
