A graduate of Crescent High School, he was recently a retiree from Michelin, Inc., and was a member of Union Baptist Church.Survivors include his son, Daniel Thomason of the home; daughters: Ashley Simpson of Iva, and Amy Burdette of Elberton, GA; granddaughter: Emalyn Grace Fisher of Elberton, GA; brothers: Buddy Thomason of Iva, SC, and Jerry Thomason & Ronnie 'Tuck' Thomason, both of Anderson, SC; sisters: Pat T. Sherard & Sherry Thomason, both of Anderson, SC, and Malinda T. Brown of Iva, SC.The Funeral Service will be held at 4pm on Tuesday, November 1, 2011, at Union Baptist Church conducted by the Reverend Mike McMillion. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home from 5:30pm until 7pm on Monday.
