Ronald Darrell "RD" Mitchell, 84, of Anderson, SC passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home. Born April 16, 1934, in Comer, GA, he was a son of the late Will Rosser Mitchell and the late Lillis Moss Mitchell. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Ed, Bill and Donald. Darrell served his country in the United States Navy. He was an auctioneer and owner operator of Mitchells Auction and Furniture in Starr. Darrell was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Sellers Mitchell; son, Ronald Darren Mitchell; daughters, Diana M. Harper (Bill), Debra M. Stanley (John) and Dale Graham Brown (Paul); three grandchildren, Jessica Stanley Arnett, Joseph Stanley and Kristina Graham Vining and seven great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm-1:30pm Friday, May 25, 2018 at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the chapel at 2:00 pm Friday with Rev.
