Davey Royce Lowry, age 79, of Anderson, SC, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at Condor Health Anderson. Born October 30, 1942, in Griffin, GA, he was the son of the late Emory Newton Lowry and Gladys L. Chambley Lowry. Davey was a retired arson detective and truck engineer with the Anderson Fire Department having served his community from 1966-1986. He was the owner and operator of Lowry Detective Agency which was his passion. Davey enjoyed his family, was a member of IPTAY and an avid Clemson Tiger fan. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church. He is survived by his sons, Derrick Lowry (April) and Davey Royce "Chopper" Lowry, Jr. (Sheila) both of Anderson, SC; sister, Jeri Gilreath of Anderson, SC; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jon Granger Lowry; and brother, Emory Garon Lowry.
