David Mattison Cater, age 56, passed away on Monday, December 10, 2018 at AnMed Health Medical Center.Born in Abilene, TX on August 30, 1962, he was the son of the late Kenneth Cater and the late Billie Taylor. He was a graduate of Newton Conover High School and worked as a truck driver.He is survived by his wife, Denise Clark; a son, Shawn David Cater, of Georgia; two stepson, Shane Carver and Dustin Clark, both of Anderson, SC; a brother, Steve Cater (Angel), of Anderson, SC; four grandchildren, Caitlyn, Brylee, Travis, and Rose; a niece, Mikaela; a nephew, Bryce; and a great niece, Harley.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Mike Cater.The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at 3:30 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend Sam Duncan officiating.
