Born in Anderson, SC, on October 14, 1932, he was the son of the late William John Dyar and the late Bernice Bennett Dyar. Mr. Dyar served in the United States Army in Japan during the Korean War. He was the owner of Dyar's Dry Wall; he was a Mason and was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Montez Reedy Isbell Dyar; daughter, Debbie Gunter and her husband, Keith of Townville, SC.; sister, Vergie Nell Martin of Shelby, NC; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers; Elton, James, William, Marion and J.C. Dyar and one sister, Willie Kennedy. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Military Honors. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends on Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service from 1:00 pm until2:00 pm.
