David M. Foster, 56, of Anderson, SC left this life comfortably at home on October 2nd 2017 after a short period of declining health due to brain cancer.
Born February 24th, 1961 in Pendleton, SC, David was the son of the late John H. Foster Jr. and Nettie Wilson Foster.
Survivors include his wife Nancy; son, David (Anna) of Anderson; daughter, Krismus Wheeler (Adam) of Seneca; step-son, Nick Campbell of Anderson; sister, Cindy Ridley (Don) of Sylva, NC and one close cousin (out of many), Susan Wilson (Jim) of Pendleton. A devoted and caring family man in all respects, David was a loving grandfather to Hannah, Ruby, Lily, Mary; step-grandfather to Serenity Wheeler and uncle to Matt Ridley.
David worked at AFCO in Anderson for the past 10 years and loved his job. Before that, he was employed by VyTech in Anderson for 17 years until they went bankrupt and closed in 2007. David had a do-it-yourself mindset and was constantly learning new ideas and skills to improve his home and help his family and friends. A Clemson fan with a ready smile and a soft spot for animals, he took in a good many over the past 15 years. Never afraid to say 'I love you'; David will be sorely missed as the heart of his immediate family.
Respecting David's wishes, he will be cremated with no burial. Arrangements are through McDougald Funeral Home of Anderson. A memorial service may be announced at a later date.
If desired in honor of David's passing, donations - monetary or otherwise - may be made to: P.A.W.S. Animal Shelter, 1320 Highway 29, Anderson, SC 29626, 864-260-4151 https://www.andersoncountysc.org/paws
