David Thomas Gow Anderson, SC David Thomas Gow, age 76, passed away on Saturday, November 08, 2014 at Rainey Hospice House. Born in Croydon, England, on September 10, 1938, he was the son of the late Henry Ernest Gow and the late Dorothy Lane Gow. David graduated from Croydon Technical School, with a Mechanical Engineering Degree and worked in the Rubber Hose Industry for over 52 years, in the United Kingdom, Netherland and the United States. While in the United Kingdom, David was a very avid sportsman, especially in cricket and was very involved with youth work at the Cullercoats Methodist Church. He moved to the United States in 1985 working with several companies before a long career with the Unaflex Incorporate in Florida and then in Anderson, SC. He spent many years in design and sales having been the top salesperson at Unaflex for several years. David had many hobbies he was a golfer, enjoyed reading, jigsaw puzzles and traveling the world. He is survived by his companion for more than twenty years, Evelyn E. Miller; daughters, Elizabeth Gow of Whitley Bay, UK., Margaret Ansell and her two sons; Michael and Luke of Sutton on Derwent, UK; sister, Carol Ann Jones of Croydon, UK; brother, John Gow of Exmouth, UK; his first wife, Marjorie E. Cryer of York, UK. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Alan Gow. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in the United Kingdom.
