Ralph David McLane, age 78, passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2018, at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Anderson, SC on October 10, 1940, he was the son of the late Ralph C. McLane and the late Fannie Mae Evans McLane. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a supervisor at Michelin and retired after 23 years. David was a member of Orrville Baptist Church where he was a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher. He is survived by his loving wife, Martha Sargent McLane; two sons, Greg McLane (Nita) and Jerry McLane (Michelle); two sisters, Florence Murdock, Ruth Ann Ladd (Bobby); a sister-in-law, Ann McLane; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Jack McLane. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at 3:30 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend Dr. Wendell Bannister and Reverend Trey Haning officiating. Interment will follow at New Silver Brook Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, prior to the service on Tuesday from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm.
