LEEOCTOBER 6, 1947 - FebrUARY 7, 2009STARR, SC ' David Morris Lee, age 61, of Starr, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2009, at AnMed Health Medical Center.Born in Anderson, SC, on October 6, 1947, he was a son of the late Harley Morris and Lena Rose Dove Lee. He was a graduate of Crescent High School. Mr. Lee was employed as the Power Project Manager by the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, Hartwell Project Power Plant. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and the Ruger Collectors Association. He truly enjoyed the collection of firearms and knives. In recent years, he was an avid runner ' having participated in the Hartwell Dam Run, the ING Half Marathon, and most recently the Peactree Road Race in Atlanta, GA. He was also a member of Garner Memorial Baptist Church.Survivors include his daughters: Jennifer 'Ginger' Lee Tucker and husband, Craig Loren Tucker of Augusta, GA, and Jana Lee teNijenhuis and husband, Leland Ray teNijenhuis of Anderson, SC, and their mother, Catherine Couch Lee of Anderson, SC; and three grandchildren: Blaine Garret Clarkson of Lexington, SC, Skylar Catherine teNijenhuis of Anderson, SC, and Ashley Harland Tucker of Augusta, GA.The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 11, 2009, in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home conducted by the Reverend Dr. Jack Couch.
