David Ronald Nichols, age 77, of Starr, SC, passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at AnMed Medical Center.

Born January 2, 1948, in York, SC, he was a son of the late, Ebb Guy Nichols and Mable Allen Nichols. He was married to Freida Dixon Nichols until her death in 2020. He was also preceded in death by three siblings, Tommy Nichols, Doris Carver, and Shirley Nichols.

David was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and a longtime business owner in the fire and safety industry. He was proud to have brought his business to Anderson during a time when there weren't very many safety regulations. He was an animal lover and avid deer hunter. David was known for his kind and generous heart, his love of jokes, and for telling it like it is. He loved his family and Jesus always came first. He was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Temple.

He is survived by his daughter, Stacey Nichols Wilkinson (Conley); and sisters, Marcia "Bunny" Nichols and Kay Hames.

There will be a private burial at Hollywood Cemetery in Gastonia, NC.
