DAVID H. NORRIS February 22, 1937 - August 29, 2013 ANDERSON, SC David Henry Norris, age 76, passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2013, at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Knoxville, TN, he was the son of the late Raymond Leo Norris and the late Josie Evelyn Worrell Norris. He graduated from Parker High School in Greenville, SC in 1955. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. David worked in textiles for over 45 years. He began his career at the Dunean Mill in Greenville, SC and later worked at the Wellington Plant in Anderson, SC. He retired from the Dyersburg Corporation in Clinton, NC. He is survived by his loving wife, Debbie Harbin Norris, of the home; three sons, David "Greg" Norris and his wife Betty, of Wilmington, NC, Henry "Smokey" Norris and his wife Tammy, of Clinton, NC and Jeff Norris of Newport, NC; three grandchildren, Holly, Spencer and Parker Norris; a sister, Gladys Moon, of Greenwood, IN; and his beloved cats, Patches, Maggie and Willard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Don Norris. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Sunday, September 1, 2013 at 3:00 PM with Reverend Johnny Touchet from the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Powdersville, SC, officiating. Private interment will be held at a later date. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends prior to the service at the funeral home on Sunday September 1, 2013 from 1:30 PM until 2:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621, or to The Salvation Army, 112 Tolly Street, Anderson, SC 29624, and the Mt.
