DAVID PRUITT September 4, 1931 - May 29, 2007IVA, SCMr. David Arch Pruitt, age 75, husband of Gladys Wakefield Pruitt of 108 Wakefield Road, Iva, SC, died Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at his residence.Born in Anderson, SC on September 4, 1931, Mr. Pruitt was a son of the late Charlie Baxter Pruitt and Dessie Hanks Pruitt. He was a graduate of Belton High School and was retired from the San Diego Fire Department. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Iva where he served as an usher. He also served as a deacon at Poplar Spring Baptist Church, Long Branch Baptist Church and Santee Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Gladys Wakefield Pruitt of the home; children, Gail Pruitt Kelley and her husband, Don and Myra K. Flick and her husband, Ron and Morris Stanley Pruitt and his wife, Lotus all of California; sister, Dessie Smith of Branchville, SC; two grandchildren, Ashley Flick and Dereck Flick.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Hanks, Raymond, Earl, Ben and C. B. Pruitt; two sisters, Nell Watt and Helen Wilson.The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, June 3, 2007 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home by the Reverend Jerry Gray and Reverend Roger Estridge.
