DAVID SIMPSON July 31, 1927 - October 26, 2006ANDERSON, SCMr. David Norris Simpson, age 79, of 133 Hammett Acres, Anderson, SC, died Thursday, October 26, 2006 at the AnMed Health Center in Anderson, SC.Born in Anderson, SC, on July 31, 1927, Mr. Simpson was a son of the late Jesse Ward Simpson and Sara Spearman Simpson. He was a graduate of Boys' High School and Clemson University. He was the former partner and owner of Farmer & Simpson Engineers and served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a member and Elder of The First Presbyterian Church in Anderson.Survivors include sons, David N. Simpson, Jr., and his wife, Denise of Raleigh, NC; James Christopher Simpson and his wife, Millie of Williamsburg, VA; daughter, Sara Margaret Simpson of Anderson, SC; step-children, Thomas P.Hughes and his wife, JoAnne of Edisto Island, SC and Cissy Hughes Prevost of Edisto Island, SC; brother, James J. Simpson and his wife, Mary of Anderson, SC; grandchildren, Ben, Maggie and Emily Simpson and David and Sara Simpson, Jennifer Beall, Chris Parsons, Trask and Meghan Hughes. Four great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Gladys Simpson and his faithful dog, Andy also survive. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, October 29, 2006 at 2:00 pm at the First Presbyterian Church of Anderson officiated by Dr. Dennis Tedder. The family will receive friends in the church immediately following the service.
