David Earl Strange, 82, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at his home.

Born August 30, 1941, in Evansville, IN, he was the son of the late Thomas Howard Strange and Bessie Mae Taylor Strange. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas Strange, Robert Strange, and Buster Strange.

He was a veteran of the United States Army and proudly served his country. He also served the residents of Volusia County as a Deputy Sheriff for thirty-five years. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching heavy weight boxing, motorcycles, and camping.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Strange of Anderson, SC; a son, Charles Strange; a daughter, Cindy Simmons and a brother, Jerry Strange.

His final resting place will be at M. J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery.
