Grant Road, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, May 26, 2009.Born in Anderson County, SC on May 14, 1929, Mr. Tollison was a son of the late Lewis Bradley Tollison and Mary Nettie Davis Tollison. He was a United States Army veteran having served during the Korean Conflict. He was a self-employed retail merchant and had been a carrier for the Anderson Independent Mail. He was a pastor for many years with several different churches of The Church of God of Prophecy.In addition to his wife of the home, he is survived by a son, David Joseph Tollison, Jr., of Richmond, VA; daughters, Patricia T. Rice of Suffolk, VA, Linda T. Rowland of Smithfield, VA and Cynthia T. Hendricks of Clinton, MS; sisters, Anna Mae Ray of Pelzer and Bobbie F. Foster of Williamston; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.He was predeceased by his parents and brothers, Louis and Allen Tollison and sister, Mary T. Taylor.The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 29, 2009 at 3:00 pm at Beaverdam Baptist Church in Williamston officiated by the Reverends Jim Farmer and Landrum Reece.
