Dawn Majewski Marcie, age 74, of Anderson, SC, loving wife to the late Lawrence L. Marcie passed away Thursday, November 24, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Born December 3, 1947, in West Palm Beach, FL, she was the daughter of the late Alfonso B. Majewski and Margaret Lewis Majewski. Dawn's true passion in life was caring for children. She was the proud owner and operator of Kiddie Land Child Care for 28 years. She was on the board of directors for United Way, Guardian Ad Litem, Anderson County First Steps, Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, and the AnMed Auxiliary. She was a regular contributor to Father Flanagan's Boys' Home and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. When you became her friend, you were friends for life. She will be truly missed by all who knew her and all of the many children she affected with her heartfelt care, compassion, and love. She is survived by her son, William Marcie; daughter, Ann and husband Alan Cornatzer; grandchildren, Nick and wife Ashleigh Marcie, and Madison and husband Austin Berry; great-grandchildren, Amelia and Lila Marcie; and furever friend, Duncan. The family will receive friends Friday, December 2, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Saturday, December 3, at 10:00 a.m. in The McDougald Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike D'Avanzo officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
