Dean Kennedy Anderson, SC Harold Dean Kennedy, age 80, of Anderson, passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Anderson, SC, on February 6, 1934, he was the son of the late John Wayne Kennedy and the late Bertice Othela Dunn Kennedy. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Early in his career he worked as a welder with Daniel Construction Company for many years, but retired from Duke Power. He was a mason and a member of the Hiram Lodge. Dean was a member of Salem Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Ann Partain Kennedy; a daughter, Deborah K. Skelton, of Anderson; three grandchildren, Deana Alcott, Alecia Nolish and her husband Matt, and Andrea Burgess and her husband Jon; six great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Madelyn, Noah, Payton, Emma and Jaxon; and a cousin, Mamie Ann Coats. The graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Joe Whisnant officiating.
