Debbie Jo Harnesberger, age 70, passed away Friday, January 30, 2026, at her home.

Born in Belton, SC she was the daughter of the late Bobby J. and Doris Burriss Harnesberger.

Debbie graduated from Clemson University in 1977 with a B.A. in Psychology and in 1980 with a nursing degree. She had a 35 year nursing career with AnMed Health. She was of the Baptist faith. She served on the Board of the Anderson, Oconee, Pickens Mental Health Association. Debbie also devoted her time to volunteering to several local needs including The Lot Project, Shalom House, and soup kitchens. She enjoyed traveling and visiting many Caribbean Islands, European countries including Italy, France, Spain, Germany, the French Riveria, and her beloved Amalfi coast and others.

Debbie is survived by her son, Robert Eric Richardson (Caraline) and granddaughter, Georgia Ann Richardson. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter. A special thanks to Joe Martin and staff and Jordan Hart.

A memorial service will be held at The McDougald Chapel, on Friday, February 6, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. with Chaplin Deon Louw officiating.
