Deborah Delvon James, age 75, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Monday, November 24, 2025, at AnMed Medical Center.
Born October 3, 1950, in Royston, GA, she was the daughter of the late Oquinn Otto Hart, Sr. and Milford Larose Daniel Castro. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Ronald Joe Cleveland; second husband, Bobby Joe James, Sr.; and brothers, David Hart and Mickey Hart.
Deborah loved crocheting, knitting, watching game shows, and was an avid Elvis fan. She had a talent for playing the portable organ and enjoyed gospel music. She enjoyed serving her community and was a volunteer at South Fant Elementary School for 14 years and also volunteered at her church, Homeland Park Baptist Church. Above all, Deborah loved her family and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She is survived by her children, Tammy Jo McGhee (Fred), Bobby Joe James, Jr. (Stephanie), Timothy Dale James (Kylie), and Michael Paul James (Brenda); brothers, O.O. Hart, Jr. and Dana Yancey; sisters, Paula Rudd, Ledia Kahler, Cindy Hart, and Karen Coe; 21 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
The family will host services at a later date. Mrs. James' final resting place will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Homeland Park Baptist Church, 3010 Abbeville Hwy, Anderson, SC 29624.
