Debra Ann Cheek Starr, SC Debra Ann Cheek, age 62, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2015, at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Anderson, SC, on October 16, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Luther Franklin Cheek and the late Elizabeth Osborne Cheek. She was a 1971 graduate of McDuffie High School. Debra worked at Owens Corning- Fiberglas for 42 years. She enjoyed trips to the mountains and horseback riding. She is survived by her daughter, Christy Suttles; two grandchildren, Ethan and Aiden Suttles; a brother, Steve Cheek and his wife Lisa; her companion of 30 years, Mickey McMahan and his children, Mike McMahan and his wife Cindy, Glenn McMahan and his wife Pam, and Kelley McMahan; a nephew, Jesse Cheek; a niece, Morgan Cobb and her husband Jeremy; and her little Daschund dog, Dolly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Luther Cheek; and an infant sister, Melody Dawn Cheek. A celebration of Debra's life will be held on Monday, January 26, 2015, at 5:00 p.m. in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend Sam Duncan officiating. The family will receive friends following the service until 8:00 p.m. The family will be at their respective homes.
