Debra Lynne Dickson Hoard Myrtle Beach, SC Debra D. Hoard, age 59, wife of David A. Hoard, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, March7, 2014, at her residence surrounded by her family and friends. Born on September 13, 1954, she was the daughter of Ned and Bobbie Dickson of Abbeville. She was a graduate of Abbeville High School in 1972 and a graduate of cosmetology school. She was a lifelong member of Southside Baptist Church of Abbeville. One of Debbie's favorite things were singing praises to her Lord and Savior in her church choir and studying her Bible daily. She also loved to cook and bake for her family and friends. She was a loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend to many. She had a special place in her heart for her close friends Jack and Marilyn Hearne, a son Bree'Z and daughter Leeza, also for Sandra Shelley and Hank Richardson. She is survived by her loving husband, parents; sister, Karen (Ken) Stern of Greenville, SC; special uncle and aunt; Dick and Iris Dickson, of Anderson, SC; brothers-in-law, Danny (Amy) Hoard, Don (Beth) Hoard and Doug (Delana) Hoard all of Anderson, SC; nephews, Jason, Jonathan, and Justin Hoard; nieces, Danna (Kevin) Jordan, Kelli (Justin) Harrison, Katie (Warren) Crumpton; Ashley (Andrew) Shaw and Lexi (Josh) Burdette; seven great- nephews; and her special pets "the girls" Gracie and Gabbie. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 10, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend Earl Hartley. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will have a time of receiving friends at the McMillan-Small Funeral Home in Myrtle Beach, SC, on Saturday, March 8, 2014 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. The family will also receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Sunday, March 9,, 2014 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. The family would like express a special thanks to Dr. Lee Milling and staff, Dr. Steven Matzinger and staff, Dr. Sophia Edwards-Bennett and staff, Dr. Brackett and staff and Dr. Pearson and staff, during Debbie's courageous battle with cancer.
