BARRETTNOVEMBER 2, 1914 - April 4, 2009ANDERSON, SC ' Delree Moss Barrett, age 94, formerly of the Gluck Mill Community, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2009, at NHC Healthcare of Anderson.Born in Georgia on November 2, 1914, she was a daughter of the late Luther Moss and Bertie Conwell Moss. She retired from the textiles industry and was a lifelong member of Southside Baptist Church where she was a member of the Keys Sunday School Class and a longtime nursery worker.She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Metcalfe and husband, Chester, of Anderson; sister, Annie Lee Chappell of Anderson; two grandsons: Chad Metcalfe and Greg Metcalfe and wife, Robbie, all of Anderson, SC; and three great grandchildren: Parker, Carys, and Barrett.In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Woodrow Barrett; her brother, Pete Moss; and her sisters, Clara Mae Gentry and Margaret Smith.A Graveside Service will be held at 3pm on Sunday, April 5, 2009, at Mountain Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, conducted by the Reverend Phil McAlister. The family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service.The family suggests that memorials be made to Southside Baptist Church, 206 Hill Street, Anderson, SC 29624.
