Dr. Dennis Clarence Chipman, Jr., age 88, of Anderson, SC, passed away Sunday, October 30, 2022, at Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home. Born January 7, 1934, in Seattle, WA, he was the son of the late Dennis Clarence Chipman, Sr. and Esther Lund Chipman. Dennis was a proud veteran of the United States Army and a psychiatrist for 47+ years. He enjoyed traveling and playing chess and loved reading and Bible study. He attended the Chapel at Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 38 years, Sandra Woodell Chipman; children, Judy Nielsen, Kimberly Chipman, Jason Chipman, and Carolyn Chipman; and grandchildren, Anna, Victoria, Sebastian, Hayden, and Declan. The funeral service with military honors will be held Monday, November 7, 2022, at 10:00 am at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery with Chaplain Mike Linkins officiating.
