Bannister of 5509 Highway 81 South, died Sunday, May 27, 2007 at the Hospice House.Born in Anderson, SC on February 8, 1935, Mrs. Bannister was a daughter of the late William H. Smith and Ruby Louise Hicks Smith. She was retired form Spring Industries and was a member of The House of Prayer on Evergreen Street. She was a 1953 graduate of Girls' High School.In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Janice Bannister White and her husband, Michael White of Belton, SC; brother, David Smith of Anderson and sister, Mary Dutton of Cedartown, GA; two granddaughters, Katrina and Nicole White. Mrs. Bannister is also survived by her beloved dog, Bear-Bear.In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Virginia Chitwood.The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverend Jerry Nation and the Reverend Mike Harrell. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.The family will receive friends on Monday, May 28, 2007 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.The family will be at the residence of her daughter, Janice Bannister White, 1109 Brown Road, Belton, SC.Flowers are optional.
