Durham, entered the gates of Heaven on Monday, February 14, 2011. She lived most of her life in Anderson and had moved to Honea Path only four years ago. She attended West Whitner Baptist Church for many years and had later become a member of First Perpetual Baptist Church in Anderson, SC. She loved her church family. At any family reunion or covered dish at church, she was famous for her green beans and her banana pudding. She was a very loving wife, mother, nanny, sister and friend. She is survived by her son, Rev. Jerry Durham, and his wife, Dianne of Canon, GA, son, Dennis Durham and his wife, Donna of Anderson, SC, daughter, Vickie Gambrell and her husband, Eddie of Honea Path, SC, son Tracy Durham and his wife, Amber of Honea Path, SC; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly; Josh Durham and wife, Kim, Caleb Durham, and wife, Katie, Brooks Durham, and wife, Heidi, Brady Elizabeth Durham, Blake Durham, Jamey Cantrell, Scott Cantrell, and wife, Vanessa, Sheree Cantrell Ricketts, husband, Perry, Jonathan Montgomery and wife Rebecca, Amber Durham, Joey Durham and Destinie Durham, Bobo Gambrell, and wife, Paula and a great grandson she help raise, Jarrett Cantrell. Great-grandchildren who were her 'heart', Crystal, Braydien and Travis Cantrell, Joseph, Logan and Landen Ricketts, Carlee Cantrell, Caleb and AnnMaria Cantrell, Jamison and Grayson Durham and Avery and Ethan Gambrell. She is also survived by three sisters and two brothers, Dot Lollis, Montez Bearden, Carolyn Wright, Dewey Burns and Rev. Larry Burns, also some very special nieces and nephews. She also had a special love for Rev. Randy Phillips and his wife, Marie and Family, often referring to him as her adopted son.In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her parents, Dewey Burns and Effie Honea Burns; one brother, Tommy Jo Burns and one grandson, she help raise, Shayne Cantrell. The Celebration of her life will be at Fants Grove Baptist Church on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at 2:00 pm, officiated by the Reverends Jerry Durham, Randy Phillips and Dr. Larry Burns. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.Donations may be made to First Perpetual Baptist Church, 3213 Highway 24, Anderson, SC 29625 or Fants Grove Cemetery Fund, 600 Fants Grove Road, Anderson, SC 29625, Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621 or Cancer Association of Anderson, 215 E.
