Diane Yeargin Fricks, age 79, of Pendleton, SC, passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at her home.
Born August 12, 1946, in Anderson County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Eddie Wilson Yeargin and Margaret Ellen Moore Poole. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Myra.
Diane was a graduate of Pendleton High School where she was head majorette and played basketball. She went on to graduate from Forrest College. She retired from LaFrance Industries as head of customer service after 30 years of dedicated service to the company. She was a faithful member of West Anderson Church of God where she played the piano, was a former Sunday School teacher, and served as the Administrative Clerk for over 20 years before retiring. Diane was a woman of great faith who loved her Lord and Savior. She enjoyed reading books, especially her Bible. She was devoted to her family and was a wonderful caretaker. As her parents and in-laws aged, Diane took wonderful care of them in their last years. She doted on her children and grandchildren and relished her role as wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Rick Fricks; sons, Toby Fricks (Susannah) and Scott Fricks (Christi); brothers, Charlie Poole (Angie) and Eddie Gene Yeargin (Kiyoka); grandchildren, Kennedy Malone (Joey), Carter Fricks (fiancé Carissa Goodell), and Garrett Fricks (Karson); and great grandchildren, Cruze and Luka.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 8, 2026, from 1:30-2:30 pm at Faith Fellowship. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 pm with Rev. Garrett Fricks, Rev. Mark Daniel, and Rev. Marshall Daniel officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens in Clemson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Rd., Anderson, SC 29621.
The family will be at the home of Scott Fricks.
