Margaret Diane Waldrup, age 69, of Anderson, SC, passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at her home. Born January 18, 1952, in Anderson, she was a daughter of the late Elbert Lamar "Slim" Waldrup and Ruth Henley Cox Waldrup. Diane was retired from Electrolux through the Anderson County Disabilities and Special Needs Board. She loved the Lord, was a firm believer in the King James Bible and was active in church as long as her health permitted. Diane enjoyed her family, going to church, and loved Clemson football. She is survived by her sisters, Clarice A. Griffin, Nancy Lou Arnold, Carolyn Kelley, and Edna Bratcher; special niece, Cathy Gray; special great niece, Khadejah Gray; and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Elbert Lamar Waldrup, Jr., Harold Aubrey "Snook" Waldrup, and Thomas "Tom" Hall Waldrup; and sisters, Martha A. Hanks, Elaine Gilbert, and Gloria Walls. The family will receive friends Sunday, August 22, 2021, from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm in the Chapel with Rev. Dr. Marshall Williams officiating.
