Autry Dean Walters, III, age 19, passed away on November, 29, 2016. Born in Anderson, SC on September 3, 1997, he is the son of Autry D. Walters, Jr. and April Denise Cartee Gravely. D.J. attended Pendleton High School and worked in landscaping and mechanics. He was a member of Six and Twenty Baptist Church. D.J. was kind hearted, loved people, and was very hard working. He will be truly missed by everyone who knew and loved him. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Christyana Walters of Anderson; maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Jane Cartee of Pendleton; paternal grandmother, Marlene Kay of Williamston; step-father, Scottie Gravely; his beloved, Alyssa Routhieaux of Anderson; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, James Merle Cartee; and his paternal grandfather, Autry Dean Walters, Sr. The funeral service to celebrate the life of D.J. will be held at Six and Twenty Baptist Church on Thursday, December, 8, 2016, at 3:00 p.m. with the Reverend Kenny Owen officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. The family will be at the home of the grandmother, Elizabeth Cartee, at 3625 Six and Twenty Rd., Pendleton, SC, and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 7, from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Flowers will be accepted, and memorials may be made to D.J.'s Go Fund Me Page online at https://www.gofundme.com/funeral-expenses-for-dj-walters.
