Mr. Dominic Joseph Amendolair, age 90, of Belton, SC and formerly of Clinton, MD, died Wednesday, August 06, 2008 at his residence.Born in Freeland, PA on October 5, 1917, Mr. Amendolair was a son of the late Peter Amendolair and Jennie Galliano Amendolair. He was a United States Air Force World War II veteran having served in the Pacific Theater with the Army Air Corps. He retired from the military in 1959 with over 20 years of service, continuing as a NASA Telecommunication Specialist until retiring in 1973. He was a member of the American Legion and the Air Force Sergeant's Association.Survivors include his son, Donn Joseph Amendolair of Prince Frederick, MD; daughters, Darlene Amendolair of Belton, SC and Donna Hansborough of Durham, NC; brother, Anthony Amendolair; sisters, Cecila Zahay and Rose Petrone; three grandchildren, Michael, Eric and Ginger Hansborough and six great-grandchildren.The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 10, 2008 at Lee Funeral Home in Owings, MD. Interment will follow in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA.
