Dominic Anthony Mish, 78, of Iva, SC, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at his residence.

Born July 31, 1946, in East Chicago, Indiana, he was the son of the late Andrew Mish and Stephanie Russell Mish. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Andrew Mish and John Mish.

He served in the United States Army and was a life member of the following: Military Order of the Purple Heart (MOPH Chapter #530, Society of the 1st Infantry Division, 2nd Infantry Regiment Association, Disabled American Veterans, Veteran of Foreign Wars, American Legion, National Infantry Association, National Riflemen's Association, AMAC Senior Citizens, Vets Helping Vets, Viet Nam Veterans of America, Combat Infantryman's Association and awarded the St. Maurice Infantry medal. In his spare time, he enjoyed college football, especially the SC Gamecocks.

He is survived by his wife, Diane Mish of Iva, SC; a brother, Theodore Mish (Rea) of Townville, SC and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his lifelong best friend, Bill Anderson.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 9, 2024, beginning at 11:00 am at The McDougald Funeral Home. A funeral mass will follow at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church at 1:00 pm. A committal with military honors will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at 1:00 pm at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery.
