DON CAMPBELLDECEMBER 22, 1930 - OctoBER 17, 2008IVA,SCBobby Donald Campbell, age 77, of 202 Johnny Long Road died on Friday, October 17, 2008 at his residence.Born in Iva, SC on December 22, 1930, he was a son of the late Lewis Augustus Campbell and Hattie Keziah Latham Campbell. Mr. Campbell served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was a graduate of the Carolina School of Commerce and was formerly associated with the Corp of Engineers. Following a sixty-year career as a Barber at the Iva Barber Shop, Mr. Campbell retired recently due to declining health. He gave his first haircut in 1948 and had even cut six generations of hair in some Iva families. He was a member of Good Hope Presbyterian Church, the American Legion, and was a former Jaycee.Survivors include his wife, Barbara Allen Campbell, of the home; a daughter, Deborah Kate Campbell Jordan and husband, A. Gerald Jordan, Jr.; a daughter, Patricia Elaine Campbell Vierling and husband, Kyle Eric Vierling, all of Iva; grandchildren: Michael Dylan Jordan and wife Sarah Jordan, Mary Katherine Jordan, Bethany Sharard Vierling, and Reid Campbell Vierling; and brothers: William Marcus Campbell of Iva, Olin Douglas Campbell of Anderson, and Roger Echols 'Dick' Campbell of Antreville.In addition to his parents, Mr. Campbell was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Elizabeth Campbell; and brothers, infant Rodney Cambell, James D. 'Tuck' Campbell, John Boyce 'Tony' Campbell, Lewis Augustus 'Ude' Campbell, Jr., and Travis Neal Campbell.The Funeral Service will be held at 4pm on Sunday, October 19, 2008 at the Good Hope Presbyterian Church conducted by the Reverend Annette Graham and the Reverend Benjamin William Wilson, MD. Interment will follow in the Iva City Cemetery.The family will receive friends at the Good Hope Presbyterian Church from 2pm until 3:30pm on Sunday, October 19th.
