Robert Donald Cooke, age 85, of Anderson, SC, passed away Monday, January 3, 2022, at Dominion Senior Living of Anderson. Born May 6, 1936, in Middlesboro, KY, he was the son of the late Robert Cooke and Mary Evans Cooke. Don spent his life in Christian service as a minister. He had earned both a Masters in Theology and Bachelors in Physics. He was a member of Young Memorial ARP Church. He is survived by his wife, Margaret "Margo" Reitz Cooke; son, Kevin M. Cooke (Raquel) of Gainesville, GA; daughter, Kelly E. Cooke of Sacramento, CA; sisters, Betsy C. Mays of Walhalla, SC, and Susan Wyatt (Larry) of Blacksburg, VA; and grandchildren, Sarah Rothert, Zachariah Rothert, Micah Rothert, Iain Cooke, Sam Cooke, and Abby Cooke. The memorial service will be held Saturday, January 8, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Young Memorial ARP Church with Dr. Robert Bell officiating. A private committal service will be held at Old Silver Brook Cemetery at a later date. The service will be livestreamed and viewable at facebook.com/kevin.cooke.336.
