Don Randall "Big Daddy" Davis, age 74, of Anderson, SC, devoted husband to Rosie O. Jackson Davis for 54 years, passed away Thursday, February 25, 2021, at his residence. Born June 9, 1946, in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late Clyde Earl Davis and Vera Mae Lollis Davis. Don was retired from his family business that was carried on by his son. He was a member of Burdine Road Church of God. Don was a hardworking dedicated family man. He was an avid stock car racing fan. He made friends everywhere he went and was loved by his family and friends. In addition to his loving wife, Rosie, he is survived by his two children, Donna F. Lawless and Randall A. Davis; four grandchildren, Angelica Lawless, Adam Lawless, Kenneth Davis, and Madelyn Davis; six great-grandchildren; and brother, Roger Davis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Dendy, Jerry, and Junior Davis; and sisters, Shirley Houston, and Jeanette Davis. The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Monday, March 1, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held at Six & Twenty Baptist Church Cemetery on Tuesday, March 2, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Curtis Lanier officiating. The procession to the cemetery will leave the funeral home at 1:15 p.m. The family is at the residence, 115 Maxwell Ave., Anderson, SC. Flowers will be accepted.
