Campbell Veterans Nursing Home in Anderson, SC on Thursday, February 23, 2012.Born in New York State, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force serving in the Korean Conflict and Vietnam. He retired from the Air Force after 20 years of service after which he became employed with the U. S. Postal Service for over 30 years. While living in Ponce Inlet, FL, he served on the Beach Commission, Planning Commission and as Vice Mayor of the town for 16 years. He was an avid model train enthusiast and will be remembered by his many Christmas Wonderland events. Mr. Anderson is survived by his twin brother, Douglas Anderson, a sister, and several children from around the country.Honoring his wishes a private family memorial service will be held at a later date.THE McDOUGALD FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, Anderson, SC.
