Donald "Don" Kenneth Craft, age 83, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 30, 2016, upon his death at NHC Anderson. He spent his life giving to others. Born in Jenkins, KY on December 18, 1932, he was the son of the late Ada Ethel Beverly Craft and the late James Milton Craft. Donald proudly served his country in the US Air Force, serving in the Pacific and in the United States. He achieved the rank of Master Sargent, retiring with over 20 years of honorable service. He was a member of Anderson American Legion Post #14, and also was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Patsy "Pat" Ann Wetterman Craft; four daughters, Janet L. Kay (Darrow) of Anderson, Judy Tinsley (Jimmy) of Anderson, Brenda Crawford of Anderson, and Cheryl Greene (Randy) of Knoxville, TN; two brothers, Allen Craft of Anderson, and Bill Craft (Becky) of Central; a sister, Mert Cox of Bristol, TN; also surviving are seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Tom and Rudy Craft; and a sister, Joyce Sims. The Funeral Service to celebrate and honor the life of Mr. Craft will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Monday, May 2, 2016, at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend Dr. Tony Smith officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will be at the residence of Don and Pat Craft at 1827 Old Pearman Dairy Rd., Anderson, SC 29625 and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home prior to the service on Monday, May 2, 2016 from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
