Donald Steven Crotts, 68, husband of the late Brenda Hayes Crotts, passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2018, at Rainey Hospice House. Born in Greenwood, SC, on November 19, 1949, Donald was the son of the late J.P. Stewart and Virginia Rippy Stewart. Donald was a graduate of McDuffie High School Class of 1966. At the age of 17 he started working at the Waffle House, the business changed to Stewarts in 1987 for a total of 25 years. He started working at the City of Anderson Police Department in 1991 and retired as a Sergeant 23 years later in 2014. Donald is survived by his children, Air Force Staff Sgt. Stewart Glen Crotts (Shelley) of Stafford, VA, Jennifer Leigh Donohue (Jason Beatty) of Chesapeake, VA, and Crystal Gayle Jordan (George) of Anderson, SC; brother, John Stewart (Teresa) of Anderson, SC; and four grandchildren, Austin Griffith, Riley Jordan, Jameson Crotts, and Jessica Donohue. In addition to his parents and wife, Donald was preceded in death by a brother, Frankie Crotts. The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 27, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 28, with Deacon Tommy Davis officiating. At other times, the family will be at the residence of Crystal Jordan, 3342 Centerville Rd., Anderson, SC 29625.
