EVANS May 11, 1927 - June 1, 2008ANDERSON, SCMr. Donald Wood Evans, age 81, husband of Sue Ellen Cooper Evans of 5146 Gentry Road, died Sunday, June 1, 2008.Born in Buffalo, NY on May 11, 1927, Mr. Evans was a son of the late Fred Evans and Mildred Wood Evans. He was a United States Army World War II veteran and was a member of the American Legion. Mr. Evans earned a degree from the University of Florida in Building Construction. He was a retired General Contractor.Survivors include his wife, Sue Ellen Cooper Evans of the home; son, Raymond Evans and his wife, Sandra of Tifton, GA; step-sons, Albert Cronk of Anderson and Ted Cronk of Ferndale, Washington; brother, Andrew Evans of Defuniak Springs, FL; two grandchildren, Christine Lindsey and Raymond Evans, Jr., and two great-grandchildren, Ava Lindsey and Mary Kate Evans.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lang.The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Thursday, June 5, 2008 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
