Franklin and Betty Tiller Franklin, his wife: Beth Ann Zimmermann Franklin; children: Jonathan Todd Franklin and wife, Briana of Raleigh, NC, David Carroll Franklin and wife, Dori of Raleigh, NC, Dawn Elizabeth Franklin of Augusta, GA; stepdaughter, Melanie Marie Glowinski of Tega Cay, SC; four grandchildren: Esther Rebekah Franklin, Jonathan Nathaniel Franklin; Mirandah Irene Franklin, Anne Marie Franklin, and; brothers: James Bruce Franklin of Anderson, SC, and Anthony Michael Franklin, US NAVY, of California. He was predeceased by his sister-in-law, Cynthia McGill Franklin.He was a Physical Therapist Assistant with a passion for sports, all things Clemson, golf and loved to go dancing. He was a lifelong Christian and a former member of Toxaway United Methodist Church. He was also member of the Zodiac Dance Club and the Highlighters Dance Club.The Funeral Service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, September 25, 2010, in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home and will be conducted by the Reverend Herb Franklin and the Reverend Kurt Stutler.The family is at the home of his parents, Donald & Betty Franklin, 140 Harley Rd., Starr, and will receive friends at the funeral home from 6pm until 8pm on Friday, September 24, 2010.In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Franklin Memorial at the Good Shepherd United Method Church.Address: 13110 Moss Road, Charlotte, NC 28273.
