DONALD R. HANNA September 17, 1932 - December 19, 2012 ANDERSON, SC Donald Rudolph Hanna, age 80, husband of Ida Mae Jordan Hanna, passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2012. Born in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late Herman Hanna and the late Ruby Lafoy Hanna. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for almost 27 years, earning the rank of Senior Master Sargeant. After retiring from the Air Force, he worked at Michelin and retired from there as a Security Guard. He was a member of Forest Hill Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Kathy Sargent and her husband Carter Keith Sargent of Lawrenceville, GA; a step-son, Kenneth Elliott and his wife Sheila of Pendleton, SC; a sister, Ellen Cheek of Anderson, SC; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Chris and Sean Hanna; his brothers, Carl and Alex Hanna; and his sisters, Gladys Dunn, Miriam Whitlock, Evelyn Gosnell and Elizabeth Sullivan. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend Tom Owen officiating. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum with Military Honors. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday from 10:00 am until 10:45.
