Donald Olin Harris, age 75, passed away on June 18, 2016. Born in Iva, SC on November 29, 1940, he was the son of the late Beverly A. "Gus" and the late Neva (Peace) Harris, Sr. Donald was an avid hunter and enjoyed NASCAR. He worked at GM Fisher Body Coldwater Rd/Ternstedt Division, retiring after more than 30 years of service. He is survived by his brother, Beverly A "Boots" Harris Jr. (June); companion, Michelle Dillard; two nephews, Lee Harris and Paul Bunch; two nieces, Julie Harris Saylors and Donna Lorlei Bunch; special friend, Roy Holligan; and many other loving family members and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Neva Bunch. A Graveside Service will be held at New Silver Brook Cemetery on Friday, June 24, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Thursday, June 23, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association at 2434 Hudson Rd. #154, Greer, SC 29650.
